W-Fi link between Android and your Computer

Here is a way to connect and share files over WiFi between your android and PC or any other system. This is another of those tiny apps and is just 26kB.

Some of the similar tools are SwiFTP Server, Wireless File Transfer Pro (using this you can remote instal apps also) and a much larger , Wifi File explorer. Using the last one you can only download files as zipped versions.

Now they have another app, by which you can share the whole of memory card or just one folder and with password protection to safeguard the files. This app is about 260 kb only.

This is another app and though slightly bigger size ,looks a better and stable one with a better GUI,        WiFi File Transfer . It is possible to transfer files both ways with this app. ( However this app has a restriction of uploading file size only upto 5MB to the android device, for which you have to go for the pro. Otherwise there are no limits)

Here is a tiny app that can let you save the attachment from the Gmail app in android onto the SD Card irrespective of the type of file, which is not otherwise possible except previewing it, if you have a suitable app for that.

Posting to Google+ and Facebook simultaneously

There is a secret email address for each Facebook member for posting to facebook by email. It is available at the bottom of the page https://www.facebook.com/mobile/ , when you are logged in to facebook.

Copy that address and add to a new circle in Google+ and name that circle as Facebook. Next time you want to post simultaneously to Facebook when you are posting something in Google+, just add the Facebook circle along with other circles.

And keep that email address as secret, as anyone getting that address can post to your facebook profile by sending just an email. Of course you can always reset that address by clicking the "Find out more" from the same page.

Doing it this way has got a drawback, in that only the first 50 characters get accepted by Facebook.

1. Freeze the touchpad while typing on the laptop: It is a nuisance when you are typing fast on a laptop you accidently press the touchpad and the curser moves to another place resulting in errors in the script you have typed. Here are two tiny utilities you can use:

Touchpad blocker - A small utility that blocks the touchpad for a predefined short period in milli seconds while pressing the keys. The delay can be predefined with this tool and can be enabled/disabled if needed with shortcut keys if needed. However this utilty should work well without any tweak in settings.

Touchfreeze -

This is a still tinier utility which freezes the touchpad and is simple to use with no user settings required and simple to use. A very simple utility but effective.
