Save web pages for later

You find a web page you find interesting and want to read, but is not able to do so right then. The way out would have been to save the link in your gmail draft or so and take it up later. Then came Instapaper and it was easy to use the instapaper read later bookmarklet and read the page later.

And now with the instapaper client for android, "everpaper" which is available for free download from android market, it is all the more easier and convenient. With this everpaper client on your android phone, it is easy to read the web page at your convenience from the android phone, once it is saved through instapaper, at any time later.

Now a Zombie virus on Mobiles

Now a Zombie virus on mobiles. this may cause a tidy sum to the owner as these viruses can send sms to all the contacts, especially at midnight when everyone is sleeping.

Suggested steps to prevent the likely consequences.
1. Do not click any suspicious links in messages even from people you know, and look out formessages from unfamiliar persons.
2. Better opt for a prepaid plan for mobiles.
3. Instal an antivirus on the mobile. The one I know of is Lookout (https://www.mylookout.com), but it is unknown how effective it may be.

The beauty of Multitasking, the Android way

This article clearly explains how multitasking is handled in Android OS. This makes a Task Manager / Killer superfluous or even hindering in an Android phone. Use of one can only hinder smooth opening of apps and lead to battery drainage.

If you really need to identify a misbehaving app, you can use the Watchdog, which will let you know when a background app loses control and exceeds the CPU threshold set by you.

AA, Buzz!!!

AA, Buzz!!! Is it that Google wants to break into Unified Communications? And importing Blogs into Buzz is a cinch. (Edited on 12th Feb, 2010)

But other social networking networks like may not get much affected as they are definitely alternative communication devices. So all of these should co-exist just like gtalk, yahoo, AOL, MSN messenger etc., as lot of people will never change over, whatever you get and whether it is better or not! Change always scares many people still!!
